Picnic is an app-only supermarket and tech-first venture, taking the Dutch and German grocery markets by storm. Five years after launch, they’re one of the fastest growing e-commerce companies in Europe, and expanding to many new cities within North Rhine-Westphalia to deliver even more groceries to customers‚ doorsteps.
But Picnic doesn’t just sell apples! Everything they use in their operations is developed in-house: Starting from the Picnic app and smart routing planning, and ending with their own fleet of electric vehicles. This leads to endless data that can be gathered and used to improve processes leading to less food waste and fewer food miles.
